Before leaving the Gaza Strip: Muslim Care-Malaysia provides cash assistance and inaugurates streets and a playground in Khan Younis

Muslim Care-Malaysia has provided cash assistance for poor families and patients and inaugurated sub-streets for people with disabilities in Khan Younis, in cooperation with Emaar Association.

Dr. Rami Alghamri, the Chairman of Emaar, said that Muslim Care delegation left the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, 8 May 2019 through Rafah crossing after visiting different public and civil institutions.

The delegation visit, led by the Head of Muslim Care organization, Zolkafl Wahjan, the Vice President, Mohammad Jawhari, and the journalist of Muslim Care Org., was part of the “Miles of Smiles” convoys which made it into Gaza in support of the Palestinian people.

Alghamri also stated that his Association is the strategic partner of Muslim Care organization and it arranged for various visits to the most significant projects funded by Muslim Care.

The delegation inaugurated a playground, performed AL Tarawih prayer at Al Ameen Mohammad Mosque, and visited the Malaysian Bakery. They also inspected the implementation of Sub-streets Project to serve three citizens with disabilities, implemented by Khan Younis Municipality in partnership with Muslim Care Organization.

During their visit, the delegation visited Emaar headquarters to learn about its programs and activities related to people with disabilities.

Before leaving the Strip and with the company of Emaar team, the delegation went to see a number of poor families and joined them for the Iftar meal.

 

Emaar Forms Ramadan Committee 2019- Khan Yunis

 

Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation has formed Ramadan Assistance Committee 2019 to manage the relief activities during Ramadan.

The committee held its first meeting in the presence of the Vice President, Eng. Abd Allah Al-Bahari, the General Manager, Mr. Anwar Abu Musa, the Poverty Reduction Department, and the managers of departments.

During the meeting, Al Bahari stressed the importance of the fair distribution of aid to ensure that it reaches the beneficiaries in Khan Younis.

Mr. Anwar Abu Musa reviewed the lessons learned from the last years’ experience in Ramadan, wishing that Emaar would work twice as hard as the past years.

He pointed out that Emaar Association provided in-kind and cash assistance totalling nearly  100 $ thousand dollars, including iftar Saiem, food parcels, vouchers, cash assistance, and sahoor meals.

The meeting included a presentation of Ramadan activities scheduled for the coming Ramadan.

A Qatari Medical Delegation Visits Emaar Association

A Qatari medical delegation visited Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation to learn about the conditions of children with cochlear implants and hearing impairment who receive rehabilitation and education services at Emaar centers.

The delegation included Dr. Khaled Abd Al Hadi, the Head of Hearing and Balance Unit at Hamad Medical Corporation, and Dr. Mohammad Murad, the ENT Consultant at the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Khaled Abd Al Hadi said that the Qatari cooperation in the Gaza Strip has contributed to conducting 150 surgeries for children with hearing impairment and he was proud to say that the children are now able to hear and speak.

He also said: “During my health missions to the Middle East countries, I can say that Emaar is the first to provide excellent rehabilitation services despite the harsh conditions of the Gaza Strip”.

Basma Center Holds a Meeting to Select Candidates for the Hearing Aids Fitting

Basma Center for Audiology and Speech Therapy held a meeting to select candidates for the hearing aids fitting as part of “Cochlear Implants for Children with Hearing Impairment” project, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development – Kuwait.

The meeting committee included a pediatrician, Dr. Wael Abo Nammos; a board member, Mr. Emaad Isleem; the manager of rehabilitation department, Dr. Riad Abo Shammalah; an otolaryngologist, and Dr. Ramadan Hussein; an audiologist.

Emaar Association Holds the Annual General Assembly Meeting of 2018

Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation held the Annual General Assembly of 2018, on Saturday 20/04/2019, in the presence of the Chairman of Emaar and the Board members, at the headquarters of the Association.
The meeting included a presentation of the administrative report and financial report of Emaar for 2018.

Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation in cooperation with St. John Hospital and Tamar institute for Community Education conducted an eye medical day for 52 patients.

Emaar Association welcomed a delegation from St John Eye Hospital, represented by Dr. Abdallah Al Kashif, the ophthalmologist.

This visit was part of the free eye medical day organized by Emaar in cooperation with St. John Hospital.

Emaar Welcomes a Team from the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs of Palestine

Emaar Welcomed a team from the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs of Palestine, represented by its general manager of public relations and media, Mr. Anwar Abu Shawish.

The visit was for finding out about Emaar Association and its centers and services provided.

At the end of the visit, the two parties agreed on signing a memorandum of understanding.

The memorandum will be written and signed in the coming days and will be followed by mutual visits to identify the common fields in various projects and activities aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Gazans.

Emaar Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Caritas Medical Centre

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation and Caritas Medical Center to improve the health of malnourished children in Khan Yunis.

This agreement is part of a project implemented by Caritas Jerusalem in the refugee camps in Gaza, funded by the Trocaire Foundation

The two sides agreed to abide by the terms of the agreement from the date of its signing.
