“Emaar” receives a delegation from the World Food Program (WFP)-Administration

Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation in its headquarters in Khan Younis governorate received a delegation from the World Food Program (WFP)-administration, the delegation included Mr. Mohammed Al Jamala, the programs manager at the WFP, and Mr. Ramzi Al-Swerki, program coordinator at the Ministry of Social Development, where they were received by the Deputy General Manager of Emaar MR. Emad Isleem.

For his part, Mr. Isleem welcomed the visiting delegation, emphasizing the depth of the relationship between Emaar and the World Food Program, noting that this cooperation entailed the provision of meals on a daily basis for the benefit of all children with disabilities who receive their services in “Emaar” through Basma Special School, Atmakan Center for Special Education and the audiological rehabilitation group at Basma Center for Audiology and Speech Therapy.

The visit was conducted for an overview of the overall situation around the program implementation mechanism in “Emaar”, where the visiting delegation expressed their pleasure about the mechanism followed in implementing the program in terms of supply, conservation, storage, preparation, and distribution to children as part of safety and public health measures. After that,  the visiting delegation toured Basma School classrooms and looked at the food storage place and the preparation of meals as well.

In turn, Mr. Isleem thanked the World Food Program for its pioneering role in supporting and promoting the health of Gazan society members, especially those with disabilities, as well as the Ministry of Social Development for their efforts in supporting and continuity of the program.

Emaar Receives a Delegation from the World Food Program (WFP)

The Deputy Director-General of Emaar, Mr. Imad Eslam, and the Head of the Poverty Reduction Division in the Society, Mr. Muhammad Fahjan, welcomed the program administrator in the institution, Mr. Muhammad Al-Jumla, and Mr. the program coordinator at the Ministry of Social Development, Ramzi Al-Swerki.

 

Mr. Esleem welcomed the visiting delegation, stressing the depth of the relationship between Emaar and the WFP. He noted that this cooperation provided daily meals for the children with disabilities at the Emaar Association.

 

The WFP came to review the general situation on the implementation mechanism of the program in Emaar, where the visiting delegation expressed their happiness with the mechanism followed in implementing the program in terms of supply, preservation and storage, preparation, and distribution to children. It is part of the safety and public health measures.

Emaar Launches a Haircutting Initiative for Al Mawasi Students- Khan Younis

Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation has launched a haircutting initiative for Al Mawasi students in preparation for a new school year- Khan Younis.

Mr. Anwar Abo Musa, the General Manager, mentioned that this initiative targeted 150 children living in Al Mawasi; a marginalized area. Moreover, a number of children with disabilities benefited from the initiative.

 

Emaar is hosting a Ramadan Iftar for the worshipers at Al-Ameen Mohammed Mosque in Khan Younis

With the generous support of Gazze Destek, Emaar Association hosted a Ramadan Iftar for the worshippers at Al Ameen Mohammad Mosque, where over 350 people together joined the Iftar in Khan Younis.

This Iftar is the first among a series of Iftars to be organized during Ramadan and it is part of “Be Generous 4 “campaign.

Emaar Launches “Be Generous 4” Campaign in Khan Younis

Emaar Launches “Be Generous 4” campaign to help the poor and the needy in Khan Younis during the holy month of Ramadan.

The campaign includes distribution of cash and in-kind assistance, Iftar meals, food parcels, vouchers, Zakat money, and Eid clothing.

This campaign greatly contributes to strengthening the principle of social solidarity and cooperation among the Palestinian people.

Emaar knocks the doors of mercy of philanthropists, businessmen, companies, and donors to donate for the activities of the campaign, which will target more than 3,400 poor families.

Before leaving the Gaza Strip: Muslim Care-Malaysia provides cash assistance and inaugurates streets and a playground in Khan Younis

Muslim Care-Malaysia has provided cash assistance for poor families and patients and inaugurated sub-streets for people with disabilities in Khan Younis, in cooperation with Emaar Association.

Dr. Rami Alghamri, the Chairman of Emaar, said that Muslim Care delegation left the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, 8 May 2019 through Rafah crossing after visiting different public and civil institutions.

The delegation visit, led by the Head of Muslim Care organization, Zolkafl Wahjan, the Vice President, Mohammad Jawhari, and the journalist of Muslim Care Org., was part of the “Miles of Smiles” convoys which made it into Gaza in support of the Palestinian people.

Alghamri also stated that his Association is the strategic partner of Muslim Care organization and it arranged for various visits to the most significant projects funded by Muslim Care.

The delegation inaugurated a playground, performed AL Tarawih prayer at Al Ameen Mohammad Mosque, and visited the Malaysian Bakery. They also inspected the implementation of Sub-streets Project to serve three citizens with disabilities, implemented by Khan Younis Municipality in partnership with Muslim Care Organization.

During their visit, the delegation visited Emaar headquarters to learn about its programs and activities related to people with disabilities.

Before leaving the Strip and with the company of Emaar team, the delegation went to see a number of poor families and joined them for the Iftar meal.

 

Emaar Forms Ramadan Committee 2019- Khan Yunis

 

Emaar Association for Development and Rehabilitation has formed Ramadan Assistance Committee 2019 to manage the relief activities during Ramadan.

The committee held its first meeting in the presence of the Vice President, Eng. Abd Allah Al-Bahari, the General Manager, Mr. Anwar Abu Musa, the Poverty Reduction Department, and the managers of departments.

During the meeting, Al Bahari stressed the importance of the fair distribution of aid to ensure that it reaches the beneficiaries in Khan Younis.

Mr. Anwar Abu Musa reviewed the lessons learned from the last years’ experience in Ramadan, wishing that Emaar would work twice as hard as the past years.

He pointed out that Emaar Association provided in-kind and cash assistance totalling nearly  100 $ thousand dollars, including iftar Saiem, food parcels, vouchers, cash assistance, and sahoor meals.

The meeting included a presentation of Ramadan activities scheduled for the coming Ramadan.

Emaar Welcomes a Delegation from St. John Eye Hospital

Emaar Association welcomed a delegation from St John Eye Hospital, represented by Dr. Abdallah Al Kashif, the ophthalmologist.

This visit was part of the free eye medical day organized by Emaar in cooperation with St. John Hospital.
